Ingredients

Serves 2

6 slices of French bread baguette
2 eggs, lightly beaten
⅔ cup milk
Pinch salt
¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon x 2
2 oz. softened butter
2 tablespoons light brown sugar
1 tablespoon white sugar

 

Oven Mode 350℉/ 12to15min

Directions

Ready in 60 min (including time to soak bread)

  • Whisk together eggs, milk, ¼ teaspoon cinnamon, and salt.
  • Slice bread 1 inch thick on a diagonal to make slices about 3-4 inches long. Soak bread slices in the egg mixture for at least 30 minutes, flipping a few times to fully saturate.
  • Preheat the toaster to 350°F in oven mode about 5 min before baking.
  • On a baking pan, spread butter and sprinkle brown sugar over the bottom.
  • When ready to bake, remove bread from the egg mixture and place on the pan.
  • Whisk together white sugar and ¼ teaspoon cinnamon. Sprinkle on bread.
  • Bake for 12 to 15 minutes.
  • Add choice of desired toppings and serve.
