Toaster Pro How To

how to use

This isn’t just about toasting. It’s about unlocking flavor.

The Toaster Pro brings out the best in everything from a simple slice of bread to a bubbling gratin, drawing out texture, aroma, and depth with precision.

This guide will walk you through how to get the most out of every mode, and how to keep your toaster in top form for years to come.

Step 1

place bread

Open the door and set your bread inside.

For one slice, place it right in the center. For more than one, space them out evenly so every piece gets the attention it deserves.

Yes, bread has a top and bottom. For mountain-shaped loaves like shokupan, the rounded side is the top. For square bread, it’s the side that faced up in the bag. Place the top facing the front of the toaster for a more even browning.

French bread is a little different. If the whole loaf fits, warm it first, then slice. You’ll get that crispy outside while keeping the inside soft and fluffy.

The space between the rack and the heater is about 2.7 in. For best results, stick with bread that’s 2.1 in tall or less. Bread placed too close to the heater can burn easily. Bread with sugar or oil on top tends to brown faster, so keep an eye on it.

Step 2

add water

Use the measuring cup to pour exactly 5cc of water into the inlet at the top of the toaster. This step is essential for creating the steam needed for perfect toast. Using anything other than the 5cc cup may cause water to spill.

Skip the water when using Oven Mode or Salamander Grill Mode.

No. It’s always 5cc, no matter the thickness, size, or how many slices you’re toasting. No need to fuss. Just fill the cup once and pour. That’s all it takes for perfect toast.

Step 3

press power and choose a mode

Your results change depending on the mode you select. Whether it’s toasting bread, baking gratin, or adding the final touch to a crème brûlée, select the mode that fits your plan best.
This way, every bite turns out just right.

shokupan mode

Warms up the entire bread at a constant temperature and lightly browns the surface during the last minute. Perfect for standard sliced bread.

golden toast mode

Warms the entire slice at a high temperature, then browns the surface golden during the final minute. Ideal for thicker breads like bagels and sourdoughs.

pizza mode

Heats the top of the bread with a higher heat at a constant temperature with an extra browning during the last minute. Choose this for breads that have toppings.

croissant mode

Heats the entire bread at a constant temperature without browning it. The ideal mode for pastries.

oven mode

Choose your temperature (350°F, 400°F, or 450°F) to unlock a range of oven dishes.
From golden gratin to crispy cookies and perfectly warmed rice cakes, this mode lets you cook just the way you want. No water required.

salamander grill mode

An intense, top-down blast of heat, similar to the controlled power of a blowtorch, mimics the high-temperature finishing used in professional kitchens. No water required.

It cooks food quickly, in just 30 seconds to 3 minutes*, creating a perfectly crispy finish.

*Salamander Grill Mode timer is up to 3 minutes. Continuous use is also possible.

Step 4

set timer

Turn the dial on the right clockwise until the LED lights up. Rotate to your desired time and stop. Cooking starts automatically.

No need to adjust. The oven senses changes in heating speed whether it’s two thick slices or one thin slice and adapts automatically. Use the same timer setting every time for your perfect, consistent toast.

Place frozen bread straight into the toaster. Choose the mode that fits the bread type and toast it for 1 to 2 minutes longer than you would with room-temperature bread. Freezing actually preserves flavor better than refrigeration. If you’re not eating it the same day, freezing is the way to go.

Step 5

after use

Empty the crumb tray after each use.
Clean other parts as needed when you see visible dirt or buildup.
The wire rack and boiler cover can be removed for easy cleaning.
